Little Cook makes a Big Splash!!

The 1st round of the Junior Fenland League was held at March swimming pool on Saturday 1st February. The 1st round was between teams from Cambridge, St Neots, 1st Stokes and West Norfolk. March Marlins finished in a commendable joint 3rd place missing out on 2nd position by only 1 point.
9 year old Chloe Cook made her debut in the 1st round of the JFL achieving 2 fantastic first places in the 50m Free and 50m Backstroke and a second place in the 25m Butterfly.
12 year old Siobhan Halliday smashed her personal best time in the 100 IM and finished in 1st place, she also achieved a further 1st in the 50M free and a 2nd in the 50M Breaststroke.
Also achieving 1st place and a new personal best were Ciara Mason in the 50M Breaststroke and Max Grigorjev in the 50M Butterfly.
2nd Places: Jake Hoy 50m Breaststroke and a new PB; Molly McGowen 50m Backstroke and a new PB, 50m Butterfly; Luke Hemsley 50m Backstroke; Daniela Sarkovica 50m Breaststroke.
3rd Places: Daniela Sarkovica 4x25 Ind/Medley and a new PB; Adam Twiddy 25m Butterfly and a new PB and 50m Backstroke and a new PB; Nat Cook 50m Backstroke and a new PB and 50m Butterfly; Rosie Beningfield 50m Backstroke and a new PB; Lydia Gray 50m Butterfly; Jessica Shaw 50m Breaststroke and a new PB; Ciara Mason 50m Freestyle.
Overall 21 new personal bests were achieved on the evening. A huge congratulations from all at March Marlins on an excellent performance to those who took part on the night.
