Round 2 of the Junior Fenland League saw a third place finish for the March Marlins Swimming Club this month with 25 personal best times achieved.

Marlins win the Richard Shaw Memorial Gala

A fanastic team spirit was a big factor in Marlins winning the Richard Shaw memorial gala on Saturday. Next weekend Richard would have been 18 and the team were determined to win the gala. A close fought contest between Chatteris, Ely, Huntingdon, Mildenhall, Peterborough and March. Marlins swimmers gained 27 new PBs, 5 club records, 15 x 1st's, 8 x 2nd's and 8 3rd's. Medals and trophies were presented by Roger Adams, who has stepped down as the Fenland League chairman after 11 years. Roger himself was presented an award for his work by Fenland League Secretary David Robinson.
