Fenland Open Meet produces big results

The Fenland Open meet hosted by March Marlins proved to be a great success with the swimmers finishing with 87 PBs plus 6 Marlins getting Top Boy/Girl trophies.

Round 2 of the Junior Fenland League saw a third place finish for the March Marlins Swimming Club this month with 25 personal best times achieved.

Marlins retain Piranha Autumn Shield

March Marlins swimming club were celebrating at the weekend after winning and retaining the Huntingdon Piranhas Shield, held at Huntingdon Leisure Centre on Saturday evening.  The Marlins saw off competition from clubs; First Strokes, Huntingdon and St Neots, only beating St Neots by a half point to gain the victory.

Thirteen swimmers came away with new personal bests, 12 first places, 10 second places and 9 third places from 38 swim events.  Special mention has to go the parent relay; Jamie, Mark, Jo and Sharon, retaining their win for the second year and to 8 year old Chloe Cook finishing second by a touch out only in the 10yr & under 25m Butterfly.

Huge congratulations to all who took part.
