Fenland Open Meet produces big results

The Fenland Open meet hosted by March Marlins proved to be a great success with the swimmers finishing with 87 PBs plus 6 Marlins getting Top Boy/Girl trophies.

JFL 2nd Rd produces 25 PBs

Round 2 of the Junior Fenland League saw a third place finish for the March Marlins Swimming Club this month with 25 personal best times achieved.

Seniors and Masters success at Sudbury

This weekend it was the turn of the Marlins masters and seniors. 7 swimmers travelled to Sudbury for their Valentines Open Meet and between them won seven 1st places, two 2nds and six 3rds.
For the men Martyn Fresher won 1st in 100m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke, 2nd in 100m freestyle and 50m freestyle.
Richard O’Leary won 1st in 50m butterfly and 3rd in 50m freestyle.
Marc Over won 1st in 50m butterfly and PB and 1st in 100m butterfly and PB.
Marc Johnson won 1st in 100m backstroke and PB, 4th in 100m freestyle and PB, 6th in 50m freestyle.
For the ladies Emily Morris claimed a PB in each race, 1st in 50m backstroke, 3rd in 50m butterfly and100m IM, 4th in 50m freestyle.
Cara Fresher gained 3rd in 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke, 4th in 100m freestyle and 5th in 200m freestyle.
Katie McGowen achieved 3rd in 100m freestyle, 4th in 200m freestyle and PB, 4th in 50m breaststroke and 6th in 50m freestyle and PB.
